In my opinion, every band must have at least one idol that have inspired them to be a musician. In our band we have a lot of influences. For example, Mik is a die hard fan of Goo Goo Dolls and the Beat Crusaders. So you can really tell by the way he writes his songs and lyrics. SK on the other hand is huge fan of metal music. Not Satanic la! That’s how he got his idea to make all those crazy riffs.  We respect each other musical taste and it’s a challenge to incorporate all our ideas together into songs.

We realized that we have to improve ourselves in terms of showmanship and up the ante especially in our technical abilities because as we progress together as a band, not only we will have the same objectives/dreams/target but also we will help each other to become a better musician. We are currently working on 3 new songs that we will perform during Baybeats. Do look out for that 🙂

There are a lot of new bands in Singapore and I am very happy to see the public showing their support for our local talents. Leonard Soosay wrote an interesting article about the local music scene on his myspace blog and I have to agree that what he wrote really make a lot of sense.
