Fans or Friends?

Posted on: September 6, 2008

A few days back, I spoke to Raudha about releasing CBTM (Come Back To Me) as our next single. I must say that our conversations will always ended up with with ” Ok don’t forget to email tau”. Being a curios person, I asked her a lot of questions about types of fans that most musicians have. She explained to me that there are 3 types of fans:

1) The first type are usually the ones who watches you perform once in a while. They prefer listening to your live music to buying your CD’s and will acknowledge you as a musician. Most of them don’t approach you after your shows. They prefer to keep it to themselves.

2) The second type are the ones that will get personal if you don’t reply to their emails, sms or phone calls. They will buy your CD’S and expect you to treat them nicely. Failure will result you being badmouth and sometimes they will just disappear from live

3) Lastly, The type who will appreciate your music. They are the ones who will support you through thick and thin. They will buy your CD’S and will go extra mile just to promote you. They won’t get personal if you don’t talk to them.

So which type are you?

P.S. Thx PrimeIa and Co for the lovely fan signs 🙂
